What is RSS?

RSS stands for 'Really Simple Syndication', and is a way of getting updates about information you're interested in (eg Emissions trading updates) without having to regularly visit the Climate change information website. Instead, you use news reader software that regularly checks the feed(s) to see if there is new news for you. Using news reader software you can subscribe to as many RSS news feeds on as many sites as you like.

You can read a page on the BBC news website explaining RSS and news reader software in greater detail.

If you have any queries about these RSS feeds, please email webmaster@mfe.govt.nz.
