Input and engagement
A number of groups and forums have been created for the interim design of New Zealand’s emissions trading scheme.
Phase two (2009 onwards)
During the implementation of the New Zealand Emissions Trading Scheme, the government will work with a range of participants to refine technical design elements and regulations. Stakeholder engagement activities have been undertaken with:
- stationary energy and industrial processes
- liquid fossil fuel
Phase one (2007-2008)
Previous input on the design and regulations of the emissions trading scheme by advisory and technical groups.
- Climate Change Leadership Forum
- Technical Advisory groups (TAGs) were established for:
- Stakeholder groups
- Working groups
- Voluntary carbon markets workshop (August 2008)
- Carbon markets workshop (April 2008)
