What’s happening?

Consultation is open from 20 July to 6 August on proposed changes to the:

  • Climate Change (Stationary Energy and Industrial Processes) Regulations 2009, and
  • Climate Change (Liquid Fossil Fuels) Regulations 2008.

Submission guidance and details of the changes are available on the right. Hard copies of the proposed changes can be obtained from the Ministry for the Environment.

About the regulations update

Proposed updates to the SEIP and LFF regulations include:

  • updating emission factors that are expected to change slightly from year to year, and
  • making some technical corrections for greater clarity and certainty.
